Score: Inter Milan 2 Crotone 0 FT

Stadio Ezio Scida, Crotone

After beating recently promoted SPAL last week Inter would travel to Ezio Scida to face 19th place Fc Crotone. They would maintain their lucky winning streak as a few late goals help secure a victory for the Nerazzuris. The last time Inter faced Crotone back in April they lost 2-1 which shattered any hope of Inter qualifying for a Europa League spot. In this match it would be the opposite has Inter would get their 4th victory of the campaign. The first goal would come from Milan Skinner. Giving them the 1-0 lead. The final goal would come in stoppage time by the secondary goal scorer of the club Ivan Persic. This would give them 12 points so far this season.

This week in the news Spalletti has been giving credit to Ivan Persic and his leadership capabilities. Spalletti goes on to say “His leadership was a crucial factor to Inter getting 4 consecutive victories”. He also says he’s been a vital piece of winning these crucial opening matches which can help set the tempo for the season. Spalletti is also impressed with Inters ability to adapt to different team situations against their opponents. To Spalletti their main focus is not on the table itself but focusing on each match as it comes and trying to win as many of them as possible. In other news they say Inter has a shot at winning the title this season. “Spalletti’s side are at the same level as Juventus perhaps even stronger”. In my opinion we’ll do well but finish at least in the top 6. Inter have maintained their winning streak which is a far cry from where they were last season. Nagomoto says its a honor for him to wear the shirt and he said ” Let’s continue like this looking to win every match”. He is proud at how Inter are doing so far and he plans on keeping that winning mentality as the season progresses. In this final piece of news comes with a heavy heart former Inter manager Bersellini passed away. He died at home and was 81 years old. While at Inter he would spend 5 years there and would lead them to the Serie A title in 1980 along with 2 Copa Italia victories. A quote from the Inter says ” His thoughts and prayers are with the club and the fans during this hard time”. Rip and thanks for what you did at your time at the club.

This week Inter would continue with the 4-2-3-1 formation and would keep the same players as in last weeks lineup. In goal would be none other than Handanovic who would get his 3rd clean sheet of the season. On defense we would have the usual cast of Dalbert, Miranda, Milan Skrinier who would get his first goal of the season this week and none other than D’Ambrosio. Up in front will be Valero and Gagliardini. In the attacking mid we have Ivan Persic who would score his 3rd goal of the season and has done a great job on keeping the team together, Mario and Candereva. Then up top would be none other than our striker Icardi.

After the players took their positions this match would start. In the 9th minute Crotone would try and get the first goal of the match with a goal from Tonev with a right foot shot but that goal would be blocked by Handanovic in the center of the goal. Inter would soon get their first attempt in the 13th minute as Ivan Persic would take a left footed shot from the right of the goal but it would be saved in the center of the goal. In the 26th minute Crotone would attempt the opening goal of the match Budmir will take a left foot shot from the outside of the box but would be blocked. Three minutes later Mario would yet again try again to get the much needed opening goal with a left footed shot from the left of the box but it misses to the right. Seconds later Gagliardini would try a through ball but it would be offside. Tonev would try to break the deadlock with a left foot shot from the outside of the box but would be blocked. In the 40th minute Miranda would get the first yellow card of the match because of a bad foul against Budmir. Just before the first half would end Crotone would try one last time to get the opening goal of the match by Rolando with a left foot shot from the left side but misses to the left. If Inter could maintain their stellar defense performance and continue opening goal opportunities they could at least get a draw or get another victory.

After the break the second half would commence. In the 50th minute Crotone would yet again try to score the opening goal this would come from Barberis with a right footed shot from the outside of the box but it would go over the crossbar to the right. In the same minute Inter would attempt the opening goal themselves with Valero taking a right foot shot from more than 35 yards and it would go just to high. In the 56th minute Inter makes their first substitution of the match when Vecino comes on to replace Gagliardini. In the 59th minute Crotone would try and break the stalemate but a attempt from Budmir would be found offside. In minute 64 Dalbert would get a injury and would be their substitution as Nagamoto would come on to replace Dalbert. A minute later Tonev would try a left footed shot but his attempt would miss as the ball would go to high and to the left. In minute 71 Inter would try and break this dead heat with a goal attempt from Mario with right side of the box but would go over the crossbar. In the 79th minute Crotone would continue to try and break the ice with a goal from Barberis with a shot from the right of th ebox but would be blocked by Handanovic. In the 82nd minute the deadlock would finally be broken with a goal from Milan Skriner with an amazing right foot shot from the center of the box to the lower right corner this would put Inter up 1-0. In the 85th minute Inter would make their final substitution of the match when Anderea would come in for D’Ambrisio because of injury. In th e87th minute Crotone would attempt a equalizer from Mandragora with a left footed shot from the outside of the box but it would be blocked. In stoppage time Inter would get one last goal from Persic with a right foot shot from the center of the box to the bottom right corner. This would conclude a awesome match. This also secures Inters 4th victory of the season.

My man of the match is Ivan Persic who’s leadership has contributed greatly to our opening match victories. Also he has kept the team together which has been difficult in the past. This match proves we can do anything we put our minds to. In the next match we will be facing Bologna which will be a awesome match and don’t underestimate them they’re what I call a sleeper team they find a weakness and they will take full advantage of it. But until then FORZA INTER.
