Before the transfer window ends for Serie A and the rest of the leagues clubs are scrambling to get those last minute signings through. Inter have had a average transfer season as majority of their signings have been loans with the exceptions of Nainggolan, Devrij and the bull Lauturo Martinez. Other than that Inter have only been able to afford loans with options to buy but may be able to hold on to them with champions league however its unclear if all of them will be back next year. The only good signings Inter have had in my opinion are Lautaro as he has shown strong potential during the preseason sometimes only scoring the only goal of the match. Another good one is Devrij as he is a great defender which will help Inter against stronger clubs. Next off another awesome signing as been the addition of Croatian sensation Vrsaljiko who did a excellent job helping his national team reach the World Cup final and we’ll see how he’ll help Inter going forward. The final great signing of the summer as been Radja Nainggolan despite being a older player he still has a lot left to give and it’ll be awesome to see how Inter will utilize him during the season. Now as everyone knows it has been rumored that Inter has been linked to transfers with Real Madrid player Modric but that rumor fell flat as he returned to training with Madrid a few days ago. That and due to his hefty price tag Inter would not have been able to afford him anyways. But as of recent days Inter has been linked to Monaco winger Keita Balde. This has been going around since last Thursday. But during the past few days Inter came to terms with Monaco for the 23 year old winger. Yesterday he landed in Milan to get his medical and he passed that medical today and became official. Keita Balde signed a 6million euro loan with a option to but him at the end of the season for 30 million euros.
Keita played for Barcelona’s youth squad but a incident occurred where he was sent to UE Cornella as a discipline with that Cornella held rights to a fraction of owndership after scoring 47 goals for them he had a chance to return to Barcelona but he turned it down. This sparked interest from various clubs. In 2011 Serie A side Lazio bought Keita for 300,000 euros which a chunk went to Cornella. He was unable to play officially until the 2012-13 season has he needed to get Spanish citizenship and a Eu passport which were needed to register him. He then spent that season playing for their youth side and training with the first team. He did eventually make it on the bench of the first team but never debuted. The following season Keita would debut for Lazio in a 3-0 win against Cheivo on September 15th as a late sub. He would also debut in the Europa League group stage. In November he scored his first goal in a draw against Parma. That year Lazio he had 5goals and 25 apps and they finished 9th. In 2015 he scored the only goal against Bayer Leverkusen in the first Champions League playoff he would have 4apps and 1 goal as they finished 8th. It wasn’t until 2016 he became a starter he scored the opening goal against Empoli. Later that year he made his 100th Serie A appearance in a 2-0 win against Bologna. A little later on that year Keita scored his first hatrick in a thrashing against Palermo giving him 11 goals. He made the fastest hatrick in less than five minutes which hasn’t been seen since the 1974-75 season. They would finish 5th he would have 16 goals that season. In August of 2017 AS Monaco signed Keita for 30mill euros he got the number 14 shirt. In October he scored the first goal in a 2-0 win against Caen. Atletico finished 2nd as he got 23 apps and 8 goals. On August 2018 he signed a 6mill euro loan deal with option to buy for 30 mill for Inter Milan as Keita comes back to Serie A.
Keita would be a great job as a right winger or substitution for Candreva. But to be honest he would make a excellent starter. He is good at reading the pitch and he is good at scoring chances. Also he is good at setting up assist as well. This will help Inter’s lack of squad depth and give them a better chance in the midfield. Also Keita is also known for his speed and agility which is good if he needs to make a fast break and get the ball away from opponents and to get the ball back to his side. He is hard working and determined and has a winning mentality which hopefully leaches out to the club especially when Inter make a mistake hopefully his winning mentality helps the other player come back into focus and shake off the mistake so they can possibly win the match. This is great addition to Inter hopefully they are able to keep him for the long term after this season. Welcome to Inter Keita Balde.
