Inter vs SPAL match day preview #71

After their win agaisnt Cagliari Inter take on thirteenth place SPAL. Inter has been on a good winning streak and they show no signs of letting up as they have had five wins in a row. SPAL are coming off a loss to Sampdoria. They look to get back onto winning terms. So both sides have their own reasons for wanting those three points. Especially since Inter are in the hunt for another Champions League spot for a second season in a row. Inter last season won the season sweep as Inter won their first meeting against SPAL while the second time they got a draw. Since they only faced each other twice their really isn’t much history between these two teams. But hopefully we get to see more between these sides going forward. Because it’s awesome seeing these two sides face each other.

Inter Milan

The only player still out on injury is Vrsaljiko who is now day to day so based on how his therapy goes he may be back to action soon. After being injured in last weeks match against Cagliari the bull Lautaro Martinez returned to action in style scoring the opening goal of the match. Also stepping up as of late is the ninja Radja in his five apperences despite having only one goal he as provided some depth in the mid field which as been one of Inter’s weaknesses lack of squad depth. He has helped create chances and provide assist. He as been a great addition to the team. Candreva despite getting goals here and there he has on and off performances somedays he does a phenominal job but other days he has a hard time passing the ball and capitalizing on chances but overall he is a average player. Politano as also been a great help for the team as well in way of getting the ball to fellow teamates and doing what is needed to finish chances. Defensive wise they’re doing a great job as of late they still have things to work on such as preventing opponents from taking chances and defending against stronger players but overall they’re doing ok. The key player this week is Perisic he is one of Inter’s top scoring chance and assist takers if SPAL can’t contain him he will do everything do cause them problems.

On the injured list and suspension list for SPAL is injured Kurtic and on the suspended side is Felipe. So far this season the main goal taker who has two goals this season is Petangna he is a beast on the pitch. The rest of the forwards and midfielders are having a average season. Defensive players on the other hand are less than stellar they’re hit and miss. The key player for them is going to be none other than Petangna who can cause Inter problems if they give him room to work. So Inter will need to isolate him if they have any hopes of winning.

The bottom line

The bottom line in this match is Inter have what it takes to keep their winning momentum going. SPAL on the other hand is if they have what it takes to work their way up the league standings. Inter are more than capable of winning this one as they have a stronger midfield and a solid defense where they should have this one in the bag but if Inter have a off day SPAL can pull it off and get those three points. In my opinion this match is a easy win for Inter but anything is possible.
