Inter Milan 2 Milan 0
After three Serie A wins in a row and a draw to Slavia Prague in the Champions League Inter take on their noisy neighbors Milan. This is another installment of the Derby Della Mandonina. Overall Milan lead in wins in this historic derby. But last season however Inter won the season sweep winning both matches. Inter will look to make this four wins a row while Milan look for their third win as they’ve been struggling so far this season. In this match Inter will need to maintain their possession style football tactic along with keeping the game in Milan’s half of the pitch. They will also need to prevent Piatek from getting the ball as he’ll be the key threat in this match. Milan however will need to do the same things but keep Sensi at bay as he is a player who can be a threat in both the attack and defense as he is very versatile. One way Milan will look to throw Inter off guard is to utilize their weakness of being caught offside by playing the offside trap. Inter will look to keep their players isolated and cause them to make mistakes as Milan are notorious for individual errors. This match Inter will have the slight advantage over their rivals but never count out a hungry Milan squad as they will do everything in their power to secure those much needed three points. In the first half both sides did a great job creating chances though Inter were the only club to have most of their chances on target. Milan however lead in possession. The half ends with both sides holding each other a 0-0 draw. In the second half of the match both sides were still looking for those much coveted three points and bragging rights. Inter were still dominating in creating and finishing scoring chances while Milan held tight on the possession. Before the match would end Inter added the nail in the coffin as Lukaku lands the ball in the back of the net as Inter secure and win the derby granting them bragging rights until the next installment of the derby later on this season.
In this match Inter change to the 3-1-4-2 formation. In goal is none other than Handanovic who is in the hunt for his next golden glove. On the defense on left and center back is the dynamic duo of Milan Skriniar and his tag team partner Devrij who geled well together in the middle of Spalleti’s 4-2-3-1 formation. On the right back position starting over normal starter D’Ambrosio is Diego Godin who hasn’t done much this season hopefully he can get into some sort of form soon as he can be a valuable asset to the club. On the defensive midfield playing solo is Brozovic who is getting back into form after struggling last season. On the attacking midfield on the left wing is Asomah. In the center midfield is sensational Sensi who is becoming a threat as he’s scored in every single match this far in Serie A competition. Next to him is Barella who has yet to show his worth. Starting on the right wing over his usual defensive roll is D’Ambrosio. Up top are the two strikers in Martinez and Lukaku this is a solid lineup but never count out Piatek as he is a strong striker and will look to give Milan all three points.

This win is much needed after their draw against Slavia Prague. Inter did a great job creating chances and finishing them as well. They made sure their goals were on target compared to Milan who struggled to create chances and they only had one shot on target the whole match. Defensive wise they were able to shut down Milan’s advances such as blocking chances and stealing the ball from them. Milan however have been struggling to get any momentum going this season majority of their wins have come from penalties or just being in the right place at the wrong time. The man of the match is Brozovic who has yet again helped Inter score the opening goal along with assisting others in their scoring attempts. He is also helping them defensively as well this is a far cry from where he was last season. Inter in their next match will take on Lazio who look to get some momentum going themselves. This match will be a challenge for them and will put them to the test as Lazio are looking to get points as they themselves have been struggling. As always until the next one Forza Inter.
