After their draw against Slavia Prague in the Champions League Inter take on their noisy neighbors Milan in another installment of the Derby Della Mandonina. Overall Milan have the most wins against Inter in the derby. But last season Inter won the season sweep beating Milan in both matches against them. Inter have won three out of their last six matches as well. Inter are the only club with a perfect record sos far this season and look to keep that momentum going. Milan got their second win of the season last week but overall they’ve been struggling. Here is what you can expect in this highly anticipated match.

Inter defensive wise is solid with players such has Skriniar and Devrij who are good at blocking chances from their opponents and stealing the ball from them on counter attacks. The player who still tends to lack in this area is D’Ambrosio who has been hit and miss has of the past two seasons. On the midfield there are a few key players that will stand out in this match. The first player that will stand out and be the key player as well is Sensi who has become a solid player defensively such has blocking chances especially in dangerous areas such has inside the box. He is also good at assist and creating/finishing scoring chances and has scored in each Serie A match so far this season. Candreva despite drawing to many fouls is slowly showing life helping with creating chances which is something that hasn’t been seen from him from quite sometime. The last is Brozovic. Up top Lukaku has helped with arieal duals due to his physicality he is hard to defend and is good at being a solid goal chance taker. Sanchez hasn’t been seen much hopefully he gets more playing time soon. Martinez is geling well with Lukaku but he does a solid job creating chances hopefully he capitalizes on those chances once again.

On Milans defense a few players to look out for who will look to stop Inter’s attack will be Romagnoli, Rodrigez who is their main defender. Also another defender who is solid on their squad is Hernandez. Midfield wise they have a few key players in their arsenal who are proven goal scorers are Bennacer, Bonaventura and Kessie. These players are known to create and finish chances along with being strong at assist. On their attack their top goal scorers are Suso, Rebic and they key threat in this match who overall is their main weapon is Piatek who scored the match winning goal in their match against Hellas Verona.

The bottom line

sport-preview-ac-milan-and-inter-milan

Inter in this match will more than likely stick with the 3-5-2 formation. Inter will need to keep up with the usual culprits. They will also stick with the same players in as well. They will need to avoid being caught offside which is one of the main reasons why they lose viable chances. Milan however will need to capitialize on their scoring chances and making sure they don’t allow Inter any breathing room to score. This match Inter will have the slight edge and will more than likely win but never ever count out Milan especially during the derby.
