Inter salvage point as their kryptonite put on an epic showdown. #223

Inter Milan 3 Sassuolo 3

San Siro

Milan Italy

After their win against Sampdoria Inter welcomed their kryptonite Sassuolo to the San Siro. Sassuolo on the other hand is coming off a loss. Overall Sassuolo have the better record against Inter but this isn’t the same Inter they once knew however. This is a club who beat them at the start of the season which is something that hadn’t been seen in several seasons. Inter look to keep up their winning momentum as they look to potentially take over Lazio who may end up slipping because of the break due to losing momentum and not having their fans in the stadium. Sassuolo will look to move up in the league table. Some of the key players in this match on the side of Inter is of course in my opinion one of the most improved defenses. Ericksen will look to improve as a false nine and work on getting better at scoring goals and helping assist the team in chances of their own. Lukaku will look to continue adding to his goal count but however he still needs to improve in the bigger matches. Sassuolo on their side of the pitch on their defense have Ferrari who is good at stealing the ball and will look to keep Inter from scoring. Defrel and Beradi will look to give Inter problems as they are their great goal scorers and will look to bring Sassuolo the win. This will be a match that can go either way especially with Sassuolo’s track record against Inter but Inter are a new animal and will look to show this isn’t the team they faced for the past few seasons. If Inter do what is needed they should pull off the win.

A few minutes into the match Sassuolo started off with a bang as Caputo landed a shot from the center of the box landing the ball in the center of the goal making things 1-0 to the visitors. Before the half would end Inter would finally answer back after Skriniar drew a foul from Boga giving Inter a penalty which was then converted by Lukaku making things all square once again. In the final minute of the half Inter would take their first lead of the match as Biraghi landed a shot from the left of the box into the top middle portion of the goal making things 2-1 for the home side. In the second half things continued to heat up with ten minutes left in the half Ashley Young fouls Muldur giving Sassuolo a chance to get back into the match and Berardi one of Sassuolo’s top goal scorers converts the penalty making things even once more. Inter with four minutes to go took the lead once again as Candreva sent a cross to Valero who landed the ball into the lower right corner but the win hopes would be slashed as Magnani landed the ball lower right corner of the goal with that the match ended 3-3. This was an entertaining match back and forth from the start. This was a deserved result and I knew this was going to be a tough match as Sassuolo tended to dominate or draw against Inter. The man of the match goes out to Lukaku who gave Inter the opening they needed to get back into the match. Inter in their next match will take on Parma who are contending for the Europa League so they will look to beat Inter. But as always Forza Inter.
