Parma drop points as Inter make epic comeback. #224

Inter Milan 2 Parma 1

Ennio Tardini

Parma Italy

After a hard fought draw against Sassuolo Inter go to their first away match since the break as they take on Parma. The last time these two sides faced each other they played to a 2-2 draw. But overall Inter have the better record against Parma. Parma are in the hunt for a spot in the Europa League which is amazing but Inter on the other hand are looking to overtake second from Lazio as they dropped points against Atalanta. Despite Inter being the front runners in this match Parma aren’t a team to be sleeping on. This is a club that has massively improved both mentally and when it comes to playing on the pitch. They have improved in tactics and playing more aggressively in the attack which is going to be an issue for Inter’s defense as Skriniar was given a three match ban and Conte is banned for the match as well. But Inter will still have their main attacker in Lukaku who will look to add to his goal count. Also after the botched goal Gagliardini will be stuck on the bench hopefully for the rest of the season because he has never been a good player for the club and was a waste of money. Cornelius is the top goal scorer for Parma and will cause Inter issues if they don’t isolate him quickly. This is a must win or else Atalanta can over take third as they’ve been on fire and are showing no signs of letting up. This will be a tough match but Inter should get the win.

After the lineups were announced this match got underway. In the first half of this match Inter took control early but had a hard time capitializing on their goal chances. But Parma always had a answer for Inter especially on the counter attacks. Ten minutes in Parma took the lead after a pass from Kucka Girvinho connects with the ball in the center of the box landing the ball in the lower right corner giving Parma the 1-0 lead. Parma would continue their pressure on Inter throughout the half as the first half ends with Parma in the lead. In the second half Parma continued their pressure especially creating chances. But things looked as if Inter were going to lose this match but Inter weren’t going to be denied. After a corner Martinez sets up a shot for Devrij who lands a header from the center of the box into the lower right corner making things all square. A few minutes later after a cross from Moses Bastoni who was on loan to Parma lands a header in the back of the net giving Inter their first lead of the match and they held on for all three points. Inter did not deserve the win with how piss poor they played. They had to many wasted chances it was lucky things didn’t end differently. Attack wise the only player who did anything and is the man of the match is Barella who tried to create chances but there was no one to connect with. He also played well defensively where it was needed it is nice to see how much he’s improved. At the end of the day a win is a win. On Wenesday Inter take on relegation side Brescia who they beat 2-1 in their first match at the first half of the season. If Inter can get their act together they should win this match anything else is a disappointment. As always Forza Inter.
