Hakimi breaks through as Inter top Bologna. #255

Inter Milan 3 Bologna 1

San Siro

Milan Italy

Following their massive win against Monchengladbach in the Champions League Inter take on Bologna. Bologna sit in tenth while Inter find themselves in second. Bologna look to continue their momentum after having a rocky start to the season. They started off near the relegation zone and looked for a time destined to stay there but they’re a team that knows how to adjust, adapt and make the needed changes for them to succeed which they’ve done as they moved up in the table. Inter were in the same boat as they were struggling to find a Champions League spot but now they’re moving on up and are looking more of a composed side. But it’s only been the past two matches we’ve seen this take place so as stated in recent articles and podcast I’m on consistency is key. The last time these two sides faced each other back in July Bologna won the match 2-1. But overall Inter have the better record when facing Bologna.

This match helps Inter maintain their momentum especially going into their final Champions League group stage match against Shaktar. That match will determine who stays and whose European competition hopes are over. But now to jump into how they performed today. Inter did a great jon in this match. They were more aggressive on the attack which has been seen more in the past three matches. On top of that they are starting to show more heart and determination to win. They also seem to be geling more and working more cohesively. But of course as stated we need to see more consistency. Defensive wise they did a stellar job blocking the Bologna attack and they also did a great job on the tackles they were clean. These set up for Inter’s solid counter attacks. The man of the match goes to Hakimi. He was strong on getting the ball away from Bologna. He was awesome on the counter attacks and he did an amazing job scoring those two goals. He is showing he is a valuable part of the team and is proving to be one of Inter’s best signings this season. As stated Inter will take on Shaktar in the Champions League hopefully they keep up their momentum. As always until the next one Forza Inter.
